Orbell Associates Ltd is a family owned building consultancy providing expert specialist services to the property and construction industry, primarily in the UK.
Our varied client base, ranges from blue chip to individuals across various sectors, and we offer advice on cost control, project management and construction management, together with a plethora of related services.
The Orbell ethos for project management and quantity surveying stands alone in our industry, with an emphasis on professionalism, pragmatism, and a personal approach to all projects.
We have built our reputation upon a solid quantity surveying foundation and on our passion to keep our client base happy; so much so that we pride ourselves on receiving high levels of repeat business and personal recommendations.
Within our business we have an enviable mix of professional experience together with the ingenuity, enthusiasm and modernity of youth all balanced within a professional framework.
In 1992, David Orbell started the business as a sole proprietor. Currently the practice directly employs 4 permanent staff and has the resources and flexibility to upscale quickly to undertake a variety of projects as required.
Since 2014 Orbell Associates has traded as a Limited Company.

David Orbell BSc (Hons) FRICS
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Highly respected and experienced quantity surveyor with over 40 years in the profession. The ‘daddy of the business’ and “What he doesn’t know about quantity surveying probably isn’t worth knowing”. When he isn’t working, David enjoys watching his favourite football team or he can be found trekking and camping in the Alps.
Tom Orbell BSc (Hons)
QS & PROJECT MANAGER
With over 10 years’ experience in construction, Tom specializes in project management, health and safety and contract procurement advice. Very much a go-getter, always with his eye to bringing jobs in on time and to budget. In his spare time Tom is passionate about keeping fit and healthy and is highly knowledgeable about nutrition.
James Orbell BSc (Hons)
QS & ESTIMATOR
James is an excellent all- rounder with proven expertise in estimating. The diplomat of the group; he keeps us grounded. He is currently a student member of the RICS and is in the process of doing his APC. James relaxes by taking part in Crossfit and competing for his local box. He is also an accomplished skier and enjoys travel.
Elizabeth Orbell BA

For anything that isn’t covered elsewhere. Liz is a problem solver who enjoys skiing and travel in her spare time.
